My thinking is that the bluetooth will eventually be a big brother way of tracking ALL the battery usage, and eventually the bluetooth technology in the battery will communicate with various octane tools and they will have their own communication thru the battery so ridgid will know how often you use that new octane drill and how hard you use it, how many times you pull the trigger, how hot the drill gets, what days and times you use it.etc etc.
